Geomagnetic Storm Aurora Borealis

Wow! The sun has been sending an onslaught of X-Class solar flares our way, unsettling the Earth's magnetic field enough to mess with GPS signals and cause planes to be diverted from flying over the arctic. But really, the best part is the Aurora!

Two nights ago when I saw the warnings on Astronomy North, I hit the road earlier than most nights - 8pm. We started the night down on Back Bay in Old Town to include some houseboats and the Ice Castle. The night kept getting better and better so I decided to try my luck with a time-lapse for the first time ever.
