Food Photography
Food photography is something I greatly enjoy. I love cooking and photography...go figure. That's why sometimes if a dinner is looking extra tasty I'll shoot the food first, although it means working fast to avoid eating cold food.
I've found with food photography often simple lighting is best. Either natural window light from behind the food, or a cross-light setup with the key light behind the food. However the real key to good food photography is making it look delicious and that is all in the care of the plating and preparation. One day I would love to shoot a cookbook - the Jamie Oliver cookbooks are a huge inspiration to me, both in the kitchen and behind the camera. Someday!
